In the late autumn of 2008 I made the finishing touches to the construction of my Observatory here in Selsey, West Sussex. It is the result of a long period of research and design, followed by a few busy weeks of building during the summer. I am already beginning to appreciate the benefits of a permanent set-up and sheltered observing.
The following pages show how the project developed. I have benefited from the knowledge and encouragement of many fellow amateur astronomers, and it is in the spirit of their support that I have put together this section of my web-site. I hope it will help to inspire more people to build their own observatory, whatever design they choose to adopt.
